Visual Art allows students to develop their confidence, curiosity, imagination, and enjoyment as they use creative processes and artistic practices to communicate personal expression and make meaning of being in the world. At Kimberley Park State School, students participate in weekly Visual Art lessons to explore visual techniques and skills of local and global artists; and experiment with materials, forms and styles. Students experiment with the artforms of sculpture, ceramics, painting, drawing and printmaking; using the methods, tools and techniques relevant to each artform. Students develop the skills to create 2D and 3D artworks with their own personally responsive and distinctive visual aesthetic, and work as artists to curate and exhibit their work.
