Students at Kimberley Park State School engage in the Japanese language and culture both inside and outside the classroom from Prep to Year 6. Our program offers a dynamic and interactive approach to learning, with students starting by introducing themselves and greeting each other in Japanese in their early years and progressing to confidently ordering food in a Japanese restaurant by Year 6.
The excitement culminates in our annual Kimberley Park State School Japanese Cultural Day, where upper school students immerse themselves in authentic experiences like taiko drumming and a Japanese tea ceremony. This enriching program prepares our students not only for potential travel to Japan but also for enjoying anime and interacting with Japanese people in our community.
