  • Family and Child Connect - 

    Family and Child Connect is a community based intake and referral service that helps at-risk and vulnerable families connect with the services they need to safely care for their children at home. The service helps families receive the help they need before their problems escalate, requiring Child Safety to intervene.

  • Lifeline – 131114 – Free anonymous 24/7 generalist counselling that does not discriminate.

  • Suicide Call Back Service – 1300 659 467 – 10.00 am to 8.30 pm everyday – Referral line for people at risk of suicide, people caring for someone who is suicidal or people bereaved by suicide. Service offers six sessions of 50 minute telephone counselling over a period of up to six months.

  • Salvo Crisis Line – (07) 3831 9016 or (regional) 1300 363 622 – 24/7 – Crisis counselling when facing a crisis in your life, or if you are experiencing suicidal thoughts

  • Bush Crisis Line and Support Services – 1800 805 391 – 24 hr/day help for doctors and their families located in small rural or remote communities.

  • Crisis Care Unit – 1800 177 135 – 24/7 – Statewide telephone counseling and crisis intervention service offering professional help in the areas of child abuse & neglect, parenting problems, parent–child conflict, juvenile justice & other youth welfare issues.

  • Kids Help Line – 1800 55 1800 – For young people aged 5–25; free, confidential and anonymous counselling.

  • Poisons Information Line – 131126 – 24/7 – Information for poisoning due to prescription medication and more.

  • Sexual Assault Crisis Line – 1800 010 120 9.00 am – 1.00 am – Free, confidential telephone service for women who have been sexually abused or sexually assaulted at any time of their lives. Includes help for indigenous women, non–English speaking women and women living in rural and remote regions.

  • Women's Domestic Violence Line – 1800 811 811 – 24/7 – For women and their children experiencing domestic and/or family violence. Crisis intervention, support, information, advocacy, telephone counselling, referrals emergency refuge and shelter placements across Queensland

  • SANE Help line – 1800 187 236 – 9.00 am to 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday – Information and advice.
  • OnPsyche – 1300 659 350 – Bulk–billed psychologists
  • Women's Health Information Line – (07) 3839 9988 (Brisbane) or 1800 017 676 (Rest of QLD) 9.00 am–5.00 pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and 12.30 pm–5.00 pm on Wednesday – Information, support and referral to health practitioners and services.
  • Women's Infolink – 1800 656 122 – 8.00 am to 6.00 pm, Monday to Friday – Free confidential information and referral about community organisations and government departments that exist to support women.
  • Youth & Family Support Service – (07) 3239 3292 10.00 am – midnight, 7 days a week – Support & counselling service for young people aged 10–17 & their families – Brisbane City region only.
