Bring your own device programme

Launched in Semester Two, 2014, students are invited to become part of the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) programme. This programme allows students to access curriculum, with their portable Information Communication Technology (ICT) devices, such as, but not exclusive to; laptops, tablets, iPhones, iPods and iPads.

DEVICES WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ACCESS EQ WiFi IF SIGNAL STRENGTH IS TOO LOW.

At this stage, 3G and 4G signal strength is poor across the campus, so connectivity is limited. Education Queensland’s Managed Operating Environment does not support android devices to join this programme.

It will be a requirement for students to re-sign and re-apply each year to ensure devices and curriclum are best supported.

KPSS has a suite of documents for you to learn more and download to gain access to the programme. All documents are contained in BYOD Handbook.

Information is provided to support parents at Kimberley Park State School who have indicated an interest in being involved in the BYOD programme. Please note the school's wireless network is being upgraded and Windows 8 machines will suffer some connection issues and may not work efficently. This will change when the upgrade is complete.

Additionally, a relevant apps list will be provided to parents by the end of each school year. It will accompany the ’traditional book list’.

We kindly request that parents and students sign the forms and return to the school office at the beginning of the school year, or upon enrolment.
